TIM WALDRON
Chief Executive Officer - Wide Bay Water Corporation

Tim is widely recognised as Australia’s foremost expert on demand management, leakage control and pressure management. He has more than 30 years experience in the water and wastewater industry. Born and educated in England, Tim worked for North West Water U.K. for more than 20 years, including 10 years as the Water Supply Manager of the City of Preston servicing a population of about 1.2 million people. His specialist knowledge in water demand management led to his secondment to the British Foreign Office as a technical advisor for developing countries. He subsequently became the United Nations Technical Representative for the South Pacific for U.N.D.P. and the World Health Organisation.

For the past ten years, Tim has led Wide Bay Water Corporation in a range of innovations including: Queensland’s first local government-owned corporation, Australia’s leading Water and Wastewater Recycling Scheme and the AWA Environmental Award for efforts in Water Demand Management.

DAVID WISKAR
Executive Manager – Wide Bay Water Corporation

David manages a range of businesses including; sewer inspection, demand management, scientific services and the work which Wide Bay Water Corporation is undertaking in South East Asia. In the area of water demand management David is involved in developing demand management strategies and programs for more than 30 water authorities throughout Australia.  He also was Project Manager for the series of 10 Water Loss and Pressure Management manuals released by the Queensland EPA and Wide Bay Water Corporation.

During the past 10 years, David has worked in a range of roles with State and Local Government on issues including; sustainable development, water pricing and environmental economic reforms. As the driving force behind the WaterWise program, David assisted local Governments and water authorities to develop and implement effective water demand management programs that not only minimise resource use but also contribute to infra-structure cost savings. David Wiskar has a degree in business communications from the Queensland University of Technology.  Prior to beginning work in the water industry, David was a Director of one of Queensland's leading corporate training firms.  His role involved the administration, promotion and organisation of a wide variety of conferences for some of Australia's leading corporations.

David is currently the founding Chair of the Queensland Water Directorate and works passionately to represent industry interests on a wide range of Government forums and policy setting networks.
