Professional Softwares

Professional Softwares can be created in two ways in the LEAKS Suite.

Standard versions of PIFastCalcs, PressCalcs, ALCCalcs and ELLCalcs can be customised individually, by modifying individual worksheets and/or by adding additional specialist Worksheets. Some recent examples are as follows:

  • Addition of ‘Meter Lag’ and 'BABEComps' worksheets to PIFastCalcs (Canada, Caribbean)
  • Addition of ‘System Schematic’ worksheet to PIFastCalcs (Australia)
  • Addition of ‘N1Calc’, '24hr Test Data', and 'PMOptions' worksheets to PressCalcs (Caribbean)

Alternatively, new Workbooks can be produced to individual user requirements. These can be alternative combinations of customised ‘standard’ worksheets, new worksheets, or completely new workbooks to meet specific requirements. Almost any combination is possible.  Some examples are shown below (new issues in red):

  • ICFCalcs: Calculation of Infrastructure Condition Factor from ‘best achieved’ night flows
  • MiniNFCalcs: (Italian language), to assist users to analyse night flow data
  • MiniFastCalcs: (Italian language), assists Italian Utilities to use the IWA Water Balance and Best Practice Performance Indicators; uses data from Italian Decree 99/97 Water Balance (according to) and assesses value of each component of Non Revenue Water
  • N1 Test Calcs: for theory, recording and analysis of night step tests to calculate FAVAD N1 exponent for pressure: leak flow relationships in a Zone, and compare with predicted N1 value
  • NF&ICF Calcs: for comparing Zone night flows and calculating excess leakage and Snapshot Infrastructure Condition Factor for one or more Zones within a system
  • PM&ILICalcs: for predicting changes in Real Losses for 4 different pressures and 4 different Infrastructure Leakage Index (ILIs) – 15 different combinations with graphs
  • PMP:  (Italian language), to assist users to define Zone pressure measurement points (Inlet, Average Zone Point, Critical Point) and check for surges and excess pressures
  • PreMoCalcs: for predicting changes in leak flow rates, burst frequency and residential consumption, in volume and cost terms, and payback periods, for 3 different pressure management options (Fixed Outlet PRV, Time Modulation, Flow Modulation), based on 24-hour test recordings of Inflow, and pressures at the Inlet, Average Zone Point and Critical Point in a Zone
  • STIRPENZIA (Italian Language & English Language): Comparison of ‘Top-Down’ (Water Balance) and ‘Bottom Up’ (Night flows) estimates of Real Losses for individual Zones, for selected time periods, with 95% confidence limits and calculation of ‘best estimate’ of Real Losses
  • SLMP: (Australia): Workbook for Queensland Water Directorate, to assist their members to fulfil their obligations under the Water Act 2004, and the Guidelines of their State Regulator
  • WLMP: (Australia): Workbook for New South Wales Water Directorate, to assist their members to identify and prioritise Water Loss reduction activities in New South Wales.
  • WIZCalcs: (Italian Language & English Language): software package for ISOIL Industria to interpret night flow and pressure measurements, and calculate economic intervention parameters from selected night flow measurements
  • ZICCalcs: allows the user to divide a 24-hour Zone inflow profile into components of leakage (up to the customer meters) and consumption (after the customer meter)
  • ZoneRepCalcs: all the worksheets needed to document and analyse data from a newly set-up zone

All enquiries regarding Professional softwares should be addressed to the country distributor in the first instance. The distributor will then contact ILMSS Ltd for advice and guidance in responding to the enquiry.
